I never want to "just" clean, so this is the result of my "cleaning" and rearranging.

Tim painted both the front door and the side door - now they match the shutters, mailbox and house  numbers.

Master bedroom...

Living room...

The living room will have to be arranged differently in December, if I want our Christmas tree in front of the big window.  Until then, I like it.

The main reason for changing the master bedroom was to block out the light coming through the window.  I hope it works.  I'll find out tonight!

DAY 1!!!!!

Yesterday five of the ten grands invaded our house.  Last night they opened gift #1 and I didn't think to get pictures of it.  They got a map of the United States to put the state quarters in.  When they searched through their quarters, we searched through mine.  I had three they needed.  They still have several more to find though.

Today (Friday) they got sidewalk chalk.  The following pictures will speak for themselves.

Grace wanted to take pictures of my flowers.  This is my Rose of Sharon.  It has really taken off with the blooms lately.

If you look closely, you can see the bee gathering pollen.

I'll try to add the daily activities, but I might get behind, ha!

Today is the first day of Elyse's junior year.  Where has the time gone?  Our little girl is growing up.  She has to drive herself to school because the bus doesn't come this far, ha!

Not only does she have school today, she has to work this evening right after school.

Have an awesome year, Elyse!

Today (8/20/16) we had a real tornado warning.  It did touch down in Wyoming, but not close enough to us.

Our back deck...

Back yard...

Our driveway and neighbor's front yard...

Our biggest limb down - nothing to brag about...

Pinery park (2/10 of a mile SE of us)

Across the street from Pinery Park...

A few blocks south of us, the tree is laying on TWO cars...

Thankfully there was no damage to our house.  When the sirens went off, we headed to the basement. We forgot to shut the windows.  We had some wet floors and one bed, but otherwise we survived without too much damage.

Tim, Elyse & I picked up the bigger branches from our yard.  Elyse picked up the front yard of the neighbors (he was all by himself cleaning up his yard).

We lost electricity for about two hours.  Nothing lost there either.  Elyse's restaurant closed because of no electricity, so she didn't have to work tonight.

Praise God for his awesome care of us and our neighbors.

I finished the bathroom curtain (thanks, Lacey).  I think it is too much blue and too much of the same pattern, but that is the way it is going to be for a LONG time.

There are still more projects, more boxes to unpack, and some cleaning to do.  All in good time!
