MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

Yep, you read that right!  I got my Mother's Day gift today.  Even though it is a little cooler today, 62*, it isn't cool enough to wear socks.

Didn't Elyse do a marvelous job!  Thanks so much for you labor of love, Elyse!

GBF!!!!!

Today, Tim, Zachary, Elyse & I spent the morning picking up trash along a two-mile stretch of Chicago Dr.  Our group of sixteen split into four groups of four.  The kids went with another couple.  Tim and I went with two people from our church.  The kids saw NINE snakes on their route.  The only exciting thing we saw was the carcass of a dead deer.  Thankfully it wasn't too hot (although our necks are sunburn).  It was supposed to start raining, so we called it quits a little early.  Here is our lovely group from GBF (Grace Bible Fellowship).

It was fun serving our community!

DAY OFF WORK!!!!!

Since Zachary & Tim had the day off work, we headed to the Grand Rapids Public Museum.  It is free for us today!

Of course, Elyse would take her knitting...

Trying to get ed-u-ma-cated!

Waiting for her food order...

She's in pain...actually, trying to get the glued down bread off the bench!

Waiting for the train - it was a l.o.n.g wait...

Elyse being Elyse...

Silly girl...

A pretty good angle...

Elyse played in everything - she couldn't get her brother to cooperate...

What animal are you?

I couldn't believe they played with these duplos....for over 20 minutes!

Not bad for straight "A" students...

Waiting for Dad to get out of the potty...

Bunny teeth...

The hills are alive...

Brother coming down...

Like I said, she played with everything...

We wore her out, finally!

I am sure the computer wasn't in the original desk!

Finally he cooperated!

Cool beards.

This one almost looks real.

Elyse got "0", I got "1", Dad got "2", and Zachary got "0"!

Pretty smile

I didn't remember him having horns.

Even the old people went for a ride.

We're going to Milwaukee on the train.

Elyse trying to convince Zachary to play "Harry Potter's" version of chess.

We ate our lunch at a park across the street from the museum.  Luke's children should remember rolling down this hill.  It shrunk this year, ha!

We ended our day at Jersey Junction.  Yum, yum.  It was a fun day!

I finished the panoramic puzzle.  It is missing eleven pieces, but that didn't delay me from putting it together.  Thanks, Evy!

HAIR CUT!!!!!

After about 15 months, I broke down and got a hair cut (thanks, Erin!).  I really liked it when the stylist fixed it.  I will have to learn how to do that myself.  This is what it is "supposed" to look like.

My curls are back!

What it looks like after four hours of the wind blowing it around...

I finished the 10th puzzle out of the box of ten.  My next puzzle will be a panoramic one!  I can't figure out how to turn the picture around, sorry!

FIREWORKS & FITNESS TO WITNESS!!!!!

Fireworks in Allendale...

She loves her brother...

"Fitness to Witness" - Elyse is riding one mile for every $5, Zachary is riding one mile for every dollar and the twins (Diana & Lydia) are riding one mile for every $2.  We met at the twins house at 7:00 a.m.

Bikes are loaded and they are still smiling...

The start of the trail...

Still smiling...

We saw them at the nine mile mark...

"Some" are still smiling...

Thankfully, Zachary's front brake is rubbing - that is slowing him down so the girls can keep up with him.  We'll catch them again at the 55 mile mark.

Some precious people joined us at the finish line (at least the finish line for today)...

Jackson and Grace

Bristol and Erin (and baby #2)

The first to arrive - ELYSE!

Zachary, Lydia and Diana bringing up the rear...

Jackson learning about weeds...

They made it!  Thirty-one miles!

So proud of these kids.  They have 24 miles yet to ride - thanks for praying and contributing to their mission trip.  So glad our children are serving the Lord!  The mission trip is August 3-9.  Thanks for being part of it!
