MR. WRINKLES!!!!!

Friday night, Elyse went to "Mr. Wrinkles" party at church. The theme was all about penguins. Some of the children at VCL.

Each child made his own "ice cream." Several of the children's bags leaked (Elyse's was one of them). At the end of the night, one boys whole outfit was still soaked. His parents said, "Typical." See how much fun making ice cream can be (even if it leaks).

Each child made their own "penguin" pillow. They used the pillows to make listening to the story more comfortable. Elyse loves stories!

Fun was had by all. The penguin pillow is our new best friend. We take it everywhere while we read our books. We love our new church!

Tomorrow we are going to see maple syrup being made and eating lunch at McD's. I will try to remember to take the camera.

What is Mr. Wrinkles? Did he also attend the party? What age group was this for? It looks like a broad range of kids from what I can tell. Was Zach too old or just not interested?

Looks like Elyse had a great time! Did you stay for the whole thing as well? How did she get a pillow out of the deal? Was there a sewing craft??

Sorry, that's a ton of questions. But you piqued my curiosity!

I hope you all are having a lovely day. Mine started out fabulously with a 2-hour fog delay, so I got some work done and took a nap before school started! Can't think of a better way to start the week!

love you,
Betsey

Betsey - questions, questions, here are the answers:

Mr. Wrinkles is a stuffed dog.

Yes, he comes to the party.

Ages 3-10 (vast range, I know - but the whole children's programs are like that at VCL).

Zach is too old. Elyse is too, but she enjoys it anyway. Her friend, Emma, is there as well. Emma's mom is a worker in the program.

We didn't stay. We drop Elyse off and we went to the glow in the dark mini golf.

Yes, they made the pillows at the party. They spend alot of money on the kids when they hold these parties - which is only 3-4 times a year.

It isn't a sewing craft, just tying knots around the pillow edges (like the blanket Dad got from a PCS kid).

Dad & I are having a good day - the kids are fighting more than ever. Glad the weather is getting warmer, they can start riding their bikes now. Exercise is what they need.

How's that for answering 50 bazillion questions?
