SENIOR NIGHT AT ROSE!!!!!

Rose played Hanover (undefeated team) last night for Senior Night. There were two seniors on the team - Erin Rumley & Amanda Fellows. Rose had a nice write-up for the girls. Erin's said:

"ERIN RUMLEY has tallied 441 kills, 374 digs and 44 blocks in a career that has
spanned 299 games. Rumley's efforts include a career-high 11 kills against
Transylvania earlier this season. The mechanical engineering major is the
daughter of Timothy and Sue Rumley."

Here is Erin in warm-ups (I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the net).

Erin was honored with Amanda with lots of gifts, hugs and claps. The 'rents and Erin (although our photographer was a little shaky).

Erin got flowers, a "Your Awesome" balloon, a hammer (her position is hitter), a necklace and a Tigger stuffed animal (because her legs are made of springs).

This is the whole gang. Their team helper in the middle also is graduating. Mr. Fellows also took pictures, he is supposed to email them to us. Maybe they will be less fuzzy.

After the game, Coach had pizza and a cake to honor the girls. Coach couldn't say enough good about our Erin. She is so proud of her and her accomplishments. We are too!

Sad to say, Rose lost the game last night. But, it was still fun watching our girl play. We will miss her playing volleyball next year. If you want to read all about it, check it out here: http://www.rose-hulman.edu/sports/volleyba/07vb15.htm

HERE SHE IS!!!!!

Betsey & Micah went to see Ava yesterday. It was good to have them here as well. Here is Ava Joy. Isn't she gorgeous? One week old.

Our two photographers. Most of Grace's pictures were of knees or ceilings, but she had a good time with the camera.

We are having a busy week: school, company here, leading Bible studies, getting cars fixed, having more company tonight, etc. And, it is only Tuesday. Whew!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

Luke & Lacey delivered a precious girl today, Monday, October 8, 2007, at 12:16 p.m. (Michigan time). Her name is Ava Joy. She weighted 10# 1 oz., and is 22.5 inches long. She is gorgeous!

Caleb just loved seeing his momma.

Grace couldn't wait to hold Ava Joy! Even if she cried.

Caleb even wanted to hold her. He was so amazed at her!

Now it is my turn. Caleb almost took a nap with mommy.

Papa had a turn too.

Now Elyse has a "new" friend to bug. Hopefully, she will let Caleb have a rest.

Grace & Lacey looking at all the pictures Grace took - which were many.

Now for the funny comments in the van:

Grace: Gwam-maw (me, not listening, so she said it louder), GWAM-MAW!

Me: Yes, Grace.

Grace: God made that beautiful sky!

When the CD was playing children's praise music, the song "Jesus Loves Me" came on. Grace said that was her favorite song. Every time the song said, "the Bible tells me so," Caleb would say "DOE."

When Tim & I were talking in the front seat, Grace said, "Gwam-maw, I am singing." I guess that meant we were to shut up.

Now it is bed time for the grand kids and our kids. After L & L get off the phone with the kids, we will put them to bed.

Congratulations to the Luke Rumley family! She is gor-ge-mous!
