MY BABY TURNED SEVEN!!!!!

Grace helping Elyse open her birthday gifts.

Grace's baby won the game.

Everyone loved the game - at least those under
30 years old! We "old" people just watched.

Does the number seven mean we are getting older? We sure feel like we are! Things don't work like they used to and other things hurt.

We went to Jon & Nona's for dessert. We had a great time! It feels good to laugh. And laugh we did. Alot!

FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE.....

Thanksgiving - thankfully it is a day of thanking! We had 12 people for Turkey Dinner. The turkey took five hours to cook - in a bag - someone (unnamed at the moment) forgot to turn the oven on. After waiting forever, we ate all the trimmings first, then had a second course of turkey when it got done.

Poor Grace, Caleb, Luke and Emily were all sick. It was a long night for Lacey! Hopefully our taking a turn at 5:15 a.m. helped her get "some" rest.

Sales, sales, sales. The crazy girls went shopping this morning. They still aren't back and it is 10:30 a.m. Did the car break down? Did they fall asleep on the side of the road (hopefully they stopped first). Did they find good deals and couldn't
pull themselves away from the stores? Where are they?

Today we are heading to Michigan City to have dessert with Jon & Nona's family. They live so close, and yet so far away. We just don't see enough of them.

We are also going to the bookstore in Michigan. Don't ask questions at Christmas time!

Now, Erin, you can quit yelling at me - here is an update - such as it is.

CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!!!!

Have you ever heard that phrase before? A certain female in our household has heard it minute by minute. Dad finally laid down the law and told her to clean it before he got home (which will be after 8:00 p.m. tonight - it is parent/teacher conferences today and tomorrow). So far, she has been working for five hours. She put all the books on the bookshelf and said, "I'm done, come check it out." I started pulling things out of place and piling them on the floor. When she disappeared, I said to start with that. After that pile was gone (who knows where), I made another pile. Three times I did that! It still isn't finished. We are missing one of her favorite socks. I told her it was in her room. She assured me it wasn't. Lo, and behold. There it was! Walah! Kids, who needs them?!?!?!?!?!

Hope your house is having as much fun as we are.

AS USUAL.....

You know how Z. gets car sick. Well, we went to Panera Bread after church today. He couldn't eat his full meal (just a bowl of soup). Only three miles from home, Z. asked to stop and get out before he upchucked in the car. So, we stopped and watched him walk around, lean over several times, turn green and then BRAAAP! That was it! A BIG burp! He said he felt fine. Kids...who needs them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAN-O!!!! Have a super day!

See you all on the 18th! Love you muches!
