HE'S 16!!!!!
Yes, the boy is 16! We forgot to take a picture of the food before we ate it. His choices were Chicken Casserole over rice, Fried Green Beans with Mushrooms, Vernors and Hot Apple Cider for dessert.
The finished product... |
A very nice card from Elyse... |
He even gave her a hug - this picture will go on his wedding slide show! |
Pretty girl... |
Zachary got a ton of small items... |
And a certificate... |
The food was very good! The best part was drinking the Hot Apple Cider while we played Uno.
Next is his driver's license. It has been a real hassle to get it because of taking training in Illinois. But, we hope to have it all worked out this week.
SERVANTS!!!!!
The church we are attending had a Valentine Banquet last night. The youth group put it on. It was not only a night out for the couples, but a fundraiser for the mission trip the youth are taking this summer. The youth cooked the food, served it (by taking orders) and cleaned up. Even though Zachary isn't part of the youth group (he goes to Chapel Pointe's youth group), he decided to attend anyway and help out. Elyse knitted them bow ties - aren't they cute?
Our lovely servers... |
If you are keeping track - my dress is a dress I ordered long ago in Chicago. It didn't fit, so I sent it back. But, after 29 pounds gone, I decided to order it again. IT FITS!!!!! In fact, it is almost too big. Isn't that amazing?
It was a nice quiet dinner. Four people were seated at each round table. Zachary and two other people entertained us with their guitars, piano and singing (Zachary didn't sing though). It was a very nice evening.
