THE NEXT DETROIT TIGER!!!!!
Here is the "man" in full uniform. His first game is Monday night at 5:30 - are you coming? Check out his sponsor - anyone for pizza?
He is #10, what number were you, Luke?
We are having "biscuits and fruit" tonight. If you hurry, you can have some too. It will be done in 40 minutes. That's "apple pie" for those who are on a diet and don't want anyone to know they are eating dessert.
We are going to get Betsey's stuff on Friday. This week is finals for her. Pray!
This is our gorgeous Redbud Tree in the backyard. It looks even better with the sun shining on it. Notice how nice and green the lawn is and freshly cut - yay, Daddy!
Elyse is busy reading the "Elsie Dinsmore" series. She is really learning alot plus enjoying the books. She read about George Washington in these books and remembered Zachary & I talking about it in school. That is one of the great benefits of home schooling. The other student learns from the other one - even when you think they aren't listening. She has her apron on because she was helping me make the "biscuits and fruit."
Hope to see all of you at a game really soon.

TO HAVE OR NOT TO HAVE!!!!!
I have wanted a coffee table for a long time, but didn't know if it was a wise purchase. So, when we reorganized our bedroom, we put Aunt Mabel's cedar chest in the living room to try it on for size. What do you think? Should we buy one or not?
Elyse decided to make a coffee table decoration - do you like it? It does add color to a colorless chest.
Lacey asked for some "full" shots of the living room so you can judge better. So, here they are (photographs by Zachary). He loves taking pictures from weird angles.
At the PCS Fun Fair, we are going to play "Pin the hair on Mr. Rumley." We took a picture of him, enlarged it to 16x20, and glued it on a piece of wood. The children throw velcro bean bags at the wood and see if they can put "hair" on Mr. Rumley. It is a cute game! At least we aren't actually throwing the bags at his real head! Come join us in all the fun on May 9th.

EARTHQUAKES?????
Yep, today at 4:37 a.m., we experienced an earthquake. It happened in southern Illinois, but we felt it up here. It measured 5.4 on the richter scale. Erin, you must have felt it too (at 5:37 your time). What was it like? Did it wake you up?
Actually, we slept right through it. But, it was the talk of the town!

SUCH A DEAL WE GOT FOR YOU!!!!!
JC Penneys had an awesome sale. Jeans and shirts (both long and short sleeves) were only $4.97. Have you ever heard of such a thing? So, we went shopping. None of the jeans fit Elyse, and I mean NONE. But the shirts did fit. So, we ended up with two long sleeve and two short sleeve. Here is a picture of one of the blouses.
Do you think our little girl grew up? I can't believe the difference a few months makes. It must be Emily's influence - it certainly isn't mine.
