The four of us decided to take a "real" vacation - haven't had one in over five years. We rented a cabin one hour away from Erin, in Garrison, ND. The cabin was in fair condition - I don't think they updated anything since 1970, but it was usable.
On the way, we saw where Tobin worked, ha!
Kids being kids...
Visiting the Zoo in Minot with Erin, Bristol & Corbin...
All the grands love Zachary's guitar playing AND the case...
I rode with these four around the ND State Fair...
Fun idea I saw on FB - eat applesauce with a straw...
It didn't work very well, but it got a few laughs out of us. Dad won getting the most out of his container.
Vacation gifts...
Or should I say gift without the "s?"
The cabin said they has service for four - they only had two bowls. Cereal was eaten out of a mixing bowl and a measuring cup for the 3rd and 4th person.
Such a fun kiddo! Enjoyed getting to know him a little bit better.
Gpa still has his walking buddy...
Kayaking - what a blast!
Gorgeous sunsets over the lake.
Touring on the way home - Mt. Rushmore...
Found Michigan...
Would you eat this?
Then to the Badlands - awesome hiking opportunity.
Mr. Daredevil himself...
Zachary wanted to hike to the plateau, but gave up halfway. Dad made it 1/4 of the way. If you enlarge the picture, you can see Zachary facing you way off in the distance.
What I will be using pretty soon!
On the way home - having had a GREAT time!
Here is a fun video! Corbin didn't mind getting a ball in the face over and over again. We couldn't resist making a video of it for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks, Erin, for making our trip amazing! We drove 3,119 miles in nine days. We are tired, but so glad we went. We loved having Bristol stay the night with us one night and both kids staying with us for one afternoon while Erin worked. Great time!
I was so hungry, thirsty and tired a few nights ago. It was late, but I decided to eat anyway. I took my food and glass of milk into the living room. Oops, I dumped the whole mess. After the spot cleaning, it left a HUGE clean spot and the rest of the carpet looked filthy. The landlords said they cleaned it before we moved in, but I sure have my doubts. The difference in the spot cleaning and the rest of the carpet couldn't be that dirty in a year and a half we have lived here. At least, I don't think so.
Cleaning the rug...
Stuff resting in the living room while the dining room has its turn...
Thankful for lots of fans...
Whoa, look at the difference...
Maybe we should spill milk on the carpet more often, huh?
