A CUTE NOTE!!!!!

Tonight we are having a showing on the house. You know how much Elyse wants to move (not!). So, this is a letter written by her without any of our help.

Dear Realtor and people who are coming to look at the house, we have no dog, cat, or rodents, or amphibians. Or, obviously, a house plant you might be allergic to. Do not take anything that is in rooms, or we might sue you! So...yeah. don't be picky.

PS. Tomorrow is the last day of June, in case you didn't know!

Isn't she a trip!

I CAN PLAY FRUGONOMICS TOO!!!!!

Betsey wanted a certain jacket to wear to the rehearsal dinner. We were running out of time, so we decided to pick it up the next trip to Kohls. Today, I went to Kohls. I had a $10 off coupon plus the jacket was on sale. So, the jacket was a steal.

Jacket original price - $40.00
Kohl's coupon - $10.00 off
Sale price - $14.97

Grand total of the jacket - $4.97

Eat your heart out Lacey and Emily (jk). Did I do good?

HE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!

Zachary did it again! Tonight was the third night of the tournament (single eliminations). Tonight we won 18-1. The last two innings were pitched by none other than ZACH-ZILLA!!!!! He struck three guys out (2 in the first inning, 1 in the second). We were so proud of him. When he was up to bat, first time he walked, 2nd time he singled past the short stop, the 3rd time he hit a long fly ball that bounced off the fence for a single (two more inches and it would have gone over the fence and have been a home run). He was AMAZING!

After the game, we treated ourselves to the Dairy Queen. That was fun too!

We are home now and in seventh heaven. If you want to know why, you will have to read Dad's blog. Type at you later!!!!!

AND THE BOY DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!

Tonight was the second baseball game of the tournament. Zachary's team won again. Noah pitched a shutout. The score was 6-0. In his first at bat, Zachary singled to left field against the best pitcher in the league driving in the first run of the game. At his last at bat, Zachary almost hit the ball over the fence (which would have been a home run), but the guy caught it just before it went over the fence.

Tonight was also a shower given by FEBC for Betsey. About 35 people came and had a great time. Janalee gave a short devotional. Sandy Johnson had a short game to see how much we knew about Micah and Betsey. Mrs. Vastbinder and I both scored 7 out of 10. But, we didn't want to win the prize, so we let them pick the next winner. It was Elyse with 5 out of 10. The winner of the game got to go first in the food line. Elyse was fine with that. Betsey got some very nice gifts. There were several gifts from people who weren't even there tonight. It was a good night.

How did your three girls look before the party? Funny you should ask. Here we are:

Now you have a new picture for your dart board.

AND...HE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!

Today was the first game of the tournament. If you lose, you are done. If you win, you get to keep playing until you lose or win all the games.

Zachary's team (which is in first place in the regular season) played today and won. Luke K. hit a grand slam. It was awesome. Luke usually bats left handed. In the last inning, he decided to bat right handed. He figured - we are winning, what the heck. Luckily, the pitcher walked him.

The score was 13-2 (we think). No matter what the exact score was, we won! Now we play again on Tuesday at 7:30. At 7:00, FEBC is giving Betsey a wedding shower. So, the girls will head to FEBC and the boys will head to the second game of the tournament.

If Zachary's team wins on Tuesday, they will play again on Thursday. It will be a busy week!

'ATSA MY BOY!!!!!

Tonight was the last game of the regular season for Zachary's baseball team. The score in the 3rd inning was 9-2 (we were losing). I won't get all the plays typed correctly, but I will mention the big one. Nathan got up when the bases were loaded and hit a grand slam. It was awesome. We ended up winning the game 13-10. That means that we are in FIRST PLACE for the regular season. What a game!

Sunday, we start the tournament. The game starts at 1:00. Zachary is supposed to be there at 12:30. It will be tight coming from Valpo. We are looking for a GREAT game.

BTW, this was the first game where we were burning up. It was 84 degrees. The sun was shining bright (they had predicted rain all day). I think we are sunburned.

It was an awesome night. Deerfield tomorrow!

PRANKS!!!!!

While Dad was running like a chicken with his head cut off, a certain unnamed senior was busy in his office. Dad had awards ceremonies for the younger children plus graduation practice. He had to be in three places at once.

When he got back to the office, this is what greeted him. PEANUTS!!!!! Not a few, but thousands. I got a call to bring over some boxes. I didn't know what I was getting into. We used several dust pans and mail carriers to get all the peanuts off the floor. It filled two 30 gallon garbage bags and two HUGE boxes. What a job!

This is after several people cleaned some of the peanuts up. I got there after they already started cleaning up.

Our glorious helpers were Mrs. Ramos, Mrs. Wolfe, Savannah, Siera, Jake, Elyse, Tim and me. Great job guys!

Too bad Dad knows who did it - look out!

NEW TOYS!!!!!

Our old duffel bag finally bit the dust. We decided that going to Georgia wouldn't be much fun in laundry baskets. So, we purchased two new duffel bags. One for the kids to go to MI and the other for us to take to GA. Do you think it is big enough?

In case you can't decide, that is Zachary folded up in the bag. I could zip it shut most of the way. I don't think we will be packing him in the bag, so, I think it will be big enough for a week's worth of junk. Don't you?

Maybe we should throw away all the toys and just have a ton of boxes around. The kids seem to like climbing in and out of boxes - who needs toys?
